Ishtar Ritual for Healing difficulties in conceiving.

A healing ritual for a couple seeking to clear the way for a child, given to Ishara by the grace of Ishtar Allat in January 2006.

The temple is set up with the altars in the corners and the banners on each of the walls.   Two chairs in the centre of the space, initially side by side facing south (oriented towards the banner which holds the birthing /manifesting power of goddess).  A third chair on hand for the priestess.

Priestess to invoke the blessings of the Great Goddess and open the appropriate spiritual currents at each of the altars and banners.  Also invite the presence and assistance of the spirits, ancestors and guardians of this land.

Couple to be freshly bathed and bring offerings of flowers, fruit, candles and wine. (Preferably, the woman and/or both partners to have received energetic healing on a  physical/etheric womb/reproductive organs within 24 to 48 hours prior to the ceremony as part of ritual preparation)

To begin, couple to sit in quiet reflection/prayer/meditation.

The priestess-healer  to visit with each of the altars to seek consent from the powers and angels around the couple to proceed with the ritual.   Now, and as the couple move through the ritual:  She is to ask for it to be made known if there is any spiritual impediment why these two should not open the door to a child… (for this to be made known to the couple within the next four days).

Priestess to sit down facing the couple, and ask them each to affirm, in their own words, their desire to conceive a child, and their readiness to hand the process over to a Higher Power and accept the possibility that Goddess may have other plans for the two of them.

Ritual cleansing of the couple with water and fire.

Couple approach each of the altars in turn (supported/witnessed by priestess), beginning with the red altar…

…approaching the red altar…

A moment or two of silent reflection on the energies of the red altar. (the red altar of blood & the red/green fires of womanhood/manhood)

Seeking the release and healing: of words spoken in anger, and buried rage, of times when you may have smothered your own or each others passion and aliveness under conscious or unconscious beliefs and expectations about what a man or a woman should be.

Asking the assistance of the Great Ones to clear the way, the couple make their offerings of flowers, fruit and wine on the altar.  Priestess to bring forth the healing energies of the red power aspect of the goddess.

Couple to face each other and making eye/heart contact, take turns to drape a coloured cloth around each others shoulders, honouring each other’s manhood/womanhood  (green/red)

Priestess stands witness as the couple light a candle and place it on the red altar of the Goddess to honour the woman’s creative red power (woman to hold the candle, man to light it)

Give thanks for blessings received, and prepare to move on…

…approaching the purple altar…

A moment or two of silent reflection on the energies of this altar. (the purple altar of desire)   Seeking release and healing from fear, especially from fears around sex and intimacy and any feelings of frustration or inadequacy..

Asking the assistance of the Great Ones to clear the way, the couple make their offerings of flowers, fruit and wine on the altar.  Priestess to bring forth the healing energies of the desire/flow aspect of the goddess.

Looking at each other through the eyes of the Lover…Take turns to reaffirm your love for the other as you drape a length of coloured cloth around over their head and shoulders with a kiss.  (golden yellow for the husband, purple for the wife)

Lighting a candle for their shared love and desire for a child… First embrace with the candle between your hearts to charge it with your love and desire, then woman to physically light it, man to hold the candle and visualise kindling it with spiritual fire.  Place the candle on the altar.

Give thanks for blessings received, and prepare to move on…

…approaching the black altar..

Take a couple of moments to commune with the energies of this altar and of your own ancestral lineage.

Prayerfully asking healing for any impediments to the conception of a child which may stem from ancestral memories or genetic damage.

Honouring and seeking the blessing of the ancestral energies for the merging of your respective lineages.  Hold, consecrate and light a small candle each whilst communing with the ancestors of both sides of your own family, then together use these to light a shared central candle).

Priestess to bring forth the healing energies of the birthing aspect of the Goddess.

Give thank offerings of flowers, fruit and wine to the ancestors of both families and to the ancestors of this land who will hold the vibration for this child to come through into this land..

… finally, approaching the white altar ..

Creating the invitation to the spirit/child being to come in…

Couple to energetically go up into the star realm and make their invitation.  Be clear what you are offering / what you are willing and able to offer as parents to this child. May get a sense of a spirit or spirits waiting (sometimes can seem like a crystal or a star?) or may just visualise your invitation as a brilliant sphere of white light.  Imagining that you are unwinding a cord or string of brilliant white light that as you bring it back down to anchor it to someplace special in your home or garden.

Priestess may guide this process if needed.

Priestess to light the white candle on the altar whilst the parents hold this awareness of the connection to Source.  (or whatever other arrangement she is directed to).

Priestess to prompt couple to prayerfully hand the whole process over to Goddess/God/Creator, resting in the certainty that there is nothing further to be done at this time, and that, if it is appropriate, you will be shown the next step in the fulfilment of the Divine Plan for your lives within the next few days.

Final blessing from the priestess.

Close.
